Welcome back, me. I haven't written in forever. But today, I feel compelled to voice my opinions and beliefs in writing.

Marines. These men and women are charged with our country's defense much like the other Armed Forces but to a special degree. These men and women are also charged with the sole protection of our nation's embassies, naval vessels, and the President of the United States. They are what is known as "hardcore", "gung-ho", "jarheads", and "grunts". Metaphorically speaking, these troopers are the "spearhead" of the United States with the US Army as the "muscle". Though the muscle outweighs the spear, the muscle never penetrates the enemy's flesh... it is the spearhead. No matter the rivalry between the Army and Marines, I salute both sides as we are one ginormous team.

With that said, let me also state that I am an Iraq War "veteran". I have faithfully served the US Army for 4 years now and I continue to do so. I know what these Marines go through EVERYDAY. Their meals, their sleep, their drills, their training, their lifestyle... their missions. I know. I was there.

What the American people lack in this modern age is... patriotism. They do not support their soldiers and that is the nasty truth of it. Americans would rather hide in their deep, dark corner of the world and forget what happens abroad. "It's none of our business". "We're not the police of the world". "I support our troops, bring them home!". These are all statements of a majority of Americans who not only don't support their military representatives... but also do not understand much else. Here is the nitty, gritty truth of the world. If we don't fight them over there, they will fight us over here. You can argue, bitch, and jerk me around all you want. I don't presume to know everything about the world but I do know about what is happening in Iraq, Afghanistan, and soon... Iran. The modern Arab does not value human life as we do. They have different customs, traditions, culture, holidays, religion, and lifestyle. I'd end up writing a novel if I were to list the differences so I will spare you.

"What about the Marines, part?" I will get to you. Recently, US Marines "massacred" 24 Iraqi civilians in a "retaliatory" gunfight. Whether this is true or not doesn't matter for I support them nonetheless. "Why?" you might ask. These men and women joined the Marine Corps to support and defend our country. Our families, friends, property, liberties, freedoms, and lifestyle are at the mercy of our Armed Forces... our warriors... who will do what is necessary to prevent our enemies from taking them away from us. Marine deployments are typically 8 months in duration. Many Marines are on their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tours of duty in that rathole country. Many have growing families, new cars, new houses, and a life worth coming home to when they return from their combat deployment. Paranoia is rampant among troopers who've had two or more deployments to Iraq. Your death is random. You don't know when Death will take you or if you'll come home whole or in pieces. Will you be an amputee? Or paralyzed? Disfigured, maybe? You Don't Know. You perform your duties to the best of your knowledge and abilities and try not to think of what could happen. When you have so much to lose at home by dying, you become paranoid. Shooting first, asking questions later is often the best answer. Whatever keeps you alive and the enemy death is your mindset. I've been there. I thought that way, too. Around my 3 month mark, I arrived at the mindset that if I had to destroy a village of 100+ people with men, women, and children to get home safely... so be it. You balance your humanity with the "beast", the urge and will to survive to horrors of war. It is a feeling only soldiers may know. Okay, and maybe cops, too. Civilians have the luxury of being left behind in America and criticize the actions of our soldiers. LUXURY. That trooper you criticize is your representative, the one who took your place at the guillotine. They signed up to fight this country's wars so you would not have to. Instead of criticism, you should maybe express your thanks, your love, and your support.

Like Vietnam, our soldiers fight an enemy who does not fight like us. Our enemy:
a) Disregards the Geneva Convention (humane treatment of Prisoners of War). They capture us, they kill us. We capture them, we're expected to treat them like we'd invite them to our house for dinner.
b) Don't wear uniforms. They look just like normal civilians. They can identify us by our uniforms, but we can't identify whether or not civilians are badguys or not unless they shoot at us or act suspiciously. It's too easy... TOO EASY... for Iraqi enemy civilians to claim that we've killed innocents (who are actually insurgents) when they all wear civilian clothing.
c) Use hit-and-run tactics. They shoot, then run... like cowards.
d) Use roadside bombs. These devastating weapons kill our troops while their maker keeps his distance. Another cowardly tactic. Where are our satellites to detect these insurgents?
e) Use us. Our Geneva Conventions, rules of engagement, and "rules of war" protect the enemy. They are often wounded, patched up by our medical personnel, and released. Back to fighting the Americans! I worked at the Green Zone at the main hospital there as a POW guard, guarding "busted badguys". A nurse there, a US Army Captain, explained to me that she'd seen this one insurgent there six times... SIX TIMES... and he averaged 2.5 million dollars PER VISIT. That's spent ammo, medical supplies, MEDEVAC chopper fuel, and surgery. That insurgent had soaked up over 12 million dollars in United States taxpayer dollars.

This last comment will sound harsh. ...but I believe it to be true. This is only from my experience.

If we do not kill these people swiftly and without remorse, they will do the same to us. This is not the mindless massacre of innocent people, this is the unfortunate event of self-defense. We must protect ourselves or these devious criminals of humanity will come to this country and kill us all. They say "Remember 9/11!" and Americans should. That was a taste of things to come if we do not defend ourselves properly. They will exterminate us and claim it's "God's word" (where have you heard that before? right! church!). These people indoctrinate their wives, children, and all others to their cause.

Or would you like to have Iran's nuclear bombs detonated in your hometown?

And to the US Marines being held for "war crimes" for their actions on that fateful day... I pray constantly for your aquittal and safe return home. Know that I will support you and believe in you until the end. My intense support also goes to our nations Soldiers, Seamen, and Airmen.

Ugh, I bought myself an XBOX 360 a week ago and I've played it a total of 6 hours. I spend all my time sleeping and working at the jail. The inmates are crying about getting sick and I'm trying not to get the inmate bug that's floating around. My place is a wreck, need to clean but have such limited time. Caffeine is not working anymore...

I haven't even played Final Fantasy XI in forever. Ugh.

I finally got my Concealed Carry certification in the mail so now I can go get my Concealed Carry license from the Sheriff's office. I think I'll do that tomorrow... now I can carry mah pistola whilst I'm off-duty. Mweh heh. I'm actually thinking about buying a new pistol to compliment my Glock 23... I'm thinking either a .38 snubnose or a Glock 27. I'm leaning more towards the Glock 27 because Glocks rock and I can't carry anything else at work. Heh.

My written test is on February 10... February... I just remembered that I have my first drill weekend since that hell of a deployment in February! I still haven't picked up my green uniforms from Richmond either... I need to. Maybe I'll stuff EVERYTHING I need to do on Tuesday. I'll be tired but I'll accomplish a shitload of stuff. Uniforms, CCDW license, video gaming (must feed the habit), and cleaning my apartment (and car!). Wednesday is my nest ride-along... more fun for me. ^_^

Hmm... problem: I have promised to hang out with both Ben and my Mom on Tuesday. Who should I allocate my time to? Best friend or mother? HAHAHAHA!! BEN! >:D I'll make up a decent excuse... maybe I'll be "sleeping"? ^_^

Ugh... just woke up. I slept for 12 hours today.

Anthromorphic Canine, specifically a grey wolf.

What shy clam on my toe? Who'da thunk la cuerva moose cry out for naughty cheese mushroom!

Torn button-up shirt with ragged sleeves and baggy pants.

The golden eyes filled with way too many personalities battling for his mind's affection, which of course would drive him to shatter the mirror as all the voices begin to beg for him to listen... all at once.

Of course. Human Flesh. And anything else with flesh.

The body is a plaything of the mind.

Wanton death and destruction, no military experience, no moral or ethical concept/grounding, and darker persona.

Wraith Flametail. I think he an' Muzzle go together rather neatly in a deranged sort've way... just like how me an' John get along.

Not yet. Working on my literary skills for such a venture.

21. How has your character changed since its first creation?
He has become less of a subservient monstrosity to more of a miscellaneous element that people must deal with in one way or another. Rather than directly influencing the world, he is an unintentional behind-the-scenes element one must first identify, then somehow find a way to deal with. Makes life more interesting. If any of this makes sense, that is.

I just woke up and decided that I needed to update this bitch. BIG UPDATE. It might be long, it might not. Who knows just yet.

One. I'm now working at a jail as a corrections officer. It's okay and not as difficult as working at a maximum security facility for hardened Iraqi criminals and terrorists. In the jail, the "childrens" as I call the inmates, they try to test your patience get a rise outta you because that's all they have to do all day. Me? I deployed with the 617th MP Co., the worst Army unit in the Army as far as leadership, care of soldiers, and general decorating of soldiers (medals/awards)... I get decorated more on Battlefield 2 then I did with the 617th. ANYWAYS, the leadership at the jail sucks, too... they immediately assume you're lying to them and the higher-ups (exception of Jailer, he's cool) don't know the job as well as they should. How do you become a LT or SGT without knowing almost everything about your job? Honestly though, right now, I just wanna beat one inmate down and toss 'im in The Hole. There's this one kid, little skinhead with Hep-C, who seems to have some mental issues and problems with female authority... he gets out soon, but I'm thinking about stuffing him in The Hole 'til then. The jail didn't qualify me with OC Spray (pepperspray), firearms, swear me in, or anything... they weren't even gonna gimme uniforms until my 6-month probationary period was up. I got lucky and snagged some uniforms which belonged to another officer before he left and I was the only one who could fit into them (I'm not a lard-ass). No uniforms. Imagine being in jail and half the staff is in civilian clothing and the other half is in uniform. I think that breeds some of the lack of respect for our authority, not to mention that the higher ups don't seem to like us enforcing key rules like... having PANTS on when you pick up your meals. PANTS. That's why I call inmates "children" because you literally have to babysit them, give them simple instructions, and monitor them 24/7 because they can't seem to govern themselves maturely. That's probably why they're in jail. Did I mention that practically every officer at the jail has HORRIBLE spelling and grammar? It drives me nuts to read their reports and not be able to understand half of it because most of the shit is misspelled or has horrible, horrible grammar. I won't leave out the fact that my Application Test had a spelling portion on it. English Teachers, you must do better!

Two. I've been feeling like utter shit the past two days. I can't eat without feeling horribly sick. I tried eating breakfast at the jail but it didn't help. Oatmeal and boiled eggs are a no-go apparently. I'm feeling a little better each day, but I hate being sick. Thank God the Army innoculated me for damn-near everything. Enough of my self pity.

Three. New Year. What's the say about a new year? One more step towards a slow death at the hands of old age. Last year this time I was doing patrols in downtown Baghdad, Iraq with the shittiest Army company in existance. Their lack of warrior attitude really made me sick. My team leader always ran away from battle or ordered us to. My gunner never fired a shot and wouldn't shoot back when we were fired upon... SHE was utterly worthless. And FISHER... grrrrr... Sergeant Matthew Fisher, the WORST NCO in the military who deserves nothing less than a coward's death. I will go no further. anyways, other than coming home to my sweetheart from that shithole hell of a country, there was nothing good about the year 2005. Nothing. I'm glad this year is gone for maybe 2006 will be much better. Resolution? Piss on you, I don't make 'em. Nobody ever lives up to their New Year's Resolution anyway so why should I waste my time?

Four. Grumpy mood. I just woke up from working night shift at the jail. I got a call at 0500 from "The Hudge" telling me all my mail has been going to his apartment this whole time and most of it looks important. I hafta go pick it up from him at the... get this... Cracker Barrel... sometime tonight. I'ma show up in my corrections uniform complete with duty belt, pistol, the works... and get my shit back.

Five. Warrant Officer. First week of January I'm getting my left eye lasered. I'll finally have 20/20 vision or better and I'll stop having headaches from reading, having my eyes open too long, or focusing on things really far away. Aaaaannnnndddddd... I'll be one step closer to becoming a Warrant Officer Aviator! I want nothing more than to be a pilot for the US Army. Nothing less will do. >.<;

Six. I love you sweetheart and hope you have a Happy New Year. By the way, you went crazy with that marker on my mirrors, didn't you? lol.

I now own a 68" Masamune sword... the same used by the Great Sephiroth! It is almost taller than I am and has the correct handguard unlike its many copies made here in the US. I say this because this sword was handcrafted in Japan and is one of 250 Masamune swords made at the time of both Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy XII: Advent Children. Mwahahahahaha!! SEPHIROTH! SEPHIROTH!

On a different note, it is snowing outside and the roads are getting slick. I almost got T-boned by some stupid ass FLORIDA driver, too! The bastard ran a stop sign because he was paying more attention to his CD player than the road. My PT Cruiser, brand new, cost me $13,000 and if he'd hit me... I'd milk him like a cow - medical bills as well as insurance. I'd get a fixed or newer model PT Cruiser and I'd finally get my gimped ankle looked at. Hm, still need to go to the VA. I'm usually not that mean, but I don't like people from Florida. They can't vote or drive. >:D And lastly, my girlie told me that her mom was offering to pick her up from work and her step-dad drive her car back home. WELL, if the car is THAT unsafe to drive, WHY DID YOU INSIST ON GETTING IT INSTEAD OF A NEW 2005 HONDA CIVIC?! I swear, Kate's mom is a dipshit. Hands down. I wanna slap her sometimes. >.< But I'm still gonna get around to putting better tires on Katie's car... can't have her driving around on those buy-here-pay-here tires.

A Nightmare is Born!

I first and foremost apologize to my dedicated readers who enjoyed my "war stories" and tales of the devious desert known as Baghdad, Iraq. "The Man" doesn't like it when soldiers such as I entertain and inform those back home about the war their leaders have chosen to fight. Don't get me wrong, I believe those people over there are some of the most evil sons o' bitches I've ever seen before and I believe they deserve to buuurrRRRRRNnnnnn in Hell where they belong... now if I believe that, why can't I tell stories to those at home to "sway" them to my side of thinking? Who knows... I think George Carlin had a good point - "Uncle Sam doesn't want educated citizen, he wants obedient workers" which is perfectly true in my opinion. Why else would so many illegal aliens be allowed to work here? o.O I can't complain too much as... YOU VOTED FOR THEM! So there. >:P

And now onto more important things. You may be wondering why I shifted from "FallenFizzle" to the benevolent "Nightmare". There are several reasons for this:
1) Nightmare from the "Soul Calibur" is the biggest badass ever. Period.
2) The Nightmare instills fear in those who are scared of a few bad dreams.
3) It is my new callsign and persona in the US Military. I am a Nightmare to those who command me and those whom I fight against. NiGhTmArE. It shall also be my callsign when I switch to Aviation.
4) It sounds cool.
5) It sounds scary.
6) Nightmare from the "Soul Calibur" series is the biggest... oh, you already caught that. Okay.
7) The Government didn't like Mr. Fizzle at all. So, they made me kill him and the Nightmare arose from the decay and ashes of poor Mr. Fizzle's digital grave.

Now many of you associate the "Nightmare" with bad dreams. In mythology, the "Nightmare" was believed to be an actual creature which would sneak into your dreams at night and gain energy from your fear, terror, and otherwise bad dreams. Hey man, the Nightmare has to eat, too. So, yes, I am a seperate entity which feeds upon the fear and TERROR of TERRORISTS. Mwahahaha!! >:D Irony.

Lastly, the Nightmare is the person'a of my newest furry critter role playing thingamabobber which shall arise from my distant role-playing career" of long ago. Yes, it shall be a herp. That's all I'm hinting at right now. ^_~ For you, Mr. Flametail. <3
